Some users have been asking about how to go about getting started with using Deals. Here are a couple quick points to get started using them effectively.
First, if you have contacts or leads in your Zeppelin, you can associate them to your Deal using the Related To field when adding your lead. As you begin to type the names will begin to appear and you can click the appropriate one when it shows. If you wish to associate a lead to a new contact (one that you haven’t added yet), you’ll need to do that first, and there’s a handy link there to do so right after the Related To field.
OK, now that you’ve added your Deal, what next? You can Add Notes or Add Tasks. As shown below, these links appear just below the overview info for your deal. If you click the Add Notes field, you can attach files (paid plans only) and they will be associated to your deal.
To help stay on top of your deals and keep them on track, we recommend using the Add a Task function to create tasks for follow up meetings, quote requests and more. You can also assign these tasks to other people on your team, and additionally, you can assign a lead to other people too.
